About this job
WHAT WE NEED
If you're a licensed Commercial Service Electrician who enjoys troubleshooting, working independently, and is trusted to handle your own calls, Bopat Electric is looking for you.
This is a true commercial service role. No residential work. You'll dispatch from home in a take-home service vehicle with a fuel card and spend most of your time working locally with established commercial customers. You'll have the tools, technology, and support you need to do the job without being micromanaged.
Pay is $38–$45/hour based on experience, with overtime opportunities. We provide a service vehicle, fuel, phone, tablet, uniforms, and major tools. Occasional overnight projects include travel pay and per diem when applicable.
We’re looking for electricians with an active Maryland Journeyman Electrician License or eligibility to obtain one through reciprocity who want more than just another job. Whether you want to become one of our strongest senior service electricians or eventually move into testing and commissioning, project management, or leadership, there is room to build a long-term career here.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Respond to commercial service calls and troubleshoot electrical issues
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial electrical systems and equipment
- Install, replace, and upgrade panels, breakers, transformers, switchgear, lighting, motor controls, and power distribution equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, testing, and electrical inspections
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and one-line diagrams
- Build strong customer relationships by providing professional, high-quality service
- Complete service documentation accurately and maintain a safe, organized work environment
- Follow all National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and company safety standards

At Bopat Electric, you'll do more than run service calls. You'll solve complex electrical problems, work independently, and support customers who rely on their electrical systems every day.
If you're ready to join an established Maryland commercial electrical contractor, we'd love to hear from you.
