Behavioral Health Counselor - Student Assistance Program - Full Time

\nProvide behavioral health counseling and education for students centered around substance use prevention.\n
\nEducation:\n
\nMust have a minimum of a bachelors degree in behavioral health or related field.\n
\nLicenses:\n
\nNo licensing required\n
\nEssential Functions:\n
\n- Provides behavioral health counseling services.\n
\n- Responsibilities: Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals.\n
\n- Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations.\n
\n- Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions.\n
\n- Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community.\n
\n- Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge.\n
\nOther Duties:\n
\nAttend school related meetings as requested by the district.\n
