General Cleaner P/T - Now Hiring

EcoTec Commercial Cleaning is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as a General Cleaning Technician.  P/T Day-Time.

As a member of the EcoTec Team, you will provide professional cleaning services to commercial and residential clients in Nassau and Suffolk County. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their work, pay close attention to detail, and understand the importance of maintaining clean, sanitary, and professional business environments.

The number of cleaning opportunities may vary based on client demand, contracts, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain commercial and residential properties according to company and client expectations.
• Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, waiting areas, and common areas.
• Empty trash and replace trash bags.
• Clean and disinfect countertops, desks, tables, sinks, toilets, and other surfaces.
• Clean floors, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
• Knowledge of carpet cleaning and the machines used.
• Able to perform floor waxing, stripping, and buffing.
• Clean windows, glass doors, and other interior surfaces when assigned.
• Restock restroom supplies.
• Perform deep-cleaning services when assigned.
• Follow specific client instructions and cleaning checklists.
• Safely use cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns when identified.
• Maintain professionalism while working at client locations.
• Communicate effectively with the EcoTec team.
• Arrive on time and be dependable for scheduled cleaning assignments.
• Respect client property, equipment, and confidential business environments.
• Help maintain the high-quality service and positive reputation of EcoTec Commercial Cleaning.

Required qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 18 years or older
• Valid driver's license
• Access to personal devices for work: smartphone - any type
• Able to stand for duration of shift
• Able to comfortably lift 40 lbs
• Available to work: weekdays
• Available to work: early morning
• Willing to travel locally

Preferred qualifications:

• Available to work: late at night
• Available to work: weekends
• Willing to wear face mask
• 2+ years of experience in the cleaning & maintenance services industry
