Healthcare Billing and Collections Specialist

Grace Community Care & Homes is developing its Central Operations department and seeks a Healthcare Billing and Collections Specialist. The role will contribute to person-centered services, reliable operations and accurate documentation.

Core responsibilities

Reconcile services against authorizations and documentation, submit claims, post remittances, resolve denials, follow unpaid balances and report collections by program.

Work collaboratively with department leadership, intake, credentialing, billing and quality teams. Maintain confidentiality, respect participant choice, communicate service gaps promptly, and follow role-specific policies and professional scope. Participate in orientation, competency review and quality improvement.

Program readiness

This is a planned role. Start date and duties are contingent on applicable program approvals, funding, credentialing and staffing readiness. Services may begin only within the approved scope.

Location and schedule

New Jersey, with administrative coordination through Grace and on-site or community assignments as applicable. Part-time; assignment and weekly schedule discussed during hiring. Clinical services begin only at approved locations and within authorized scope.

Requirements

Medicaid and managed-care billing experience; familiarity with claim submission, payment reconciliation, denial appeals and authorization limits. Applicants should provide relevant credentials, experience, availability and a resume. Final regulatory eligibility will be verified before appointment or service delivery. Benefits

Pay: $20-$26 per hour, based on qualifications and relevant experience.

Employment type: Part-time. Weekly hours and start date discussed during hiring; contingent on required approvals and staffing readiness.
