We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who understands how to turn customer drawings into practical, efficient manufacturing processes. This role combines CAD/CAM programming, precision metal fabrication, process planning, and hands-on collaboration with the shop floor.

You'll help determine how parts should be manufactured, develop machine programs and setup instructions, select tooling, and improve production efficiency. If you enjoy solving manufacturing problems and seeing your engineering work translate into finished parts, this could be a great fit.

  • Strong blueprint reading skills and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Mechanical aptitude, shop math skills, and an understanding of manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to calculate flat patterns for formed metal parts.

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Technical degree preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DAILY DUTIES

  • Interpret customer drawings and determine efficient manufacturing methods to meet part specifications, tolerances, fit, and finish.

  • Create 3D models in SolidWorks as needed for programming.

  • Develop offline CNC programs for milling and punch presses using CAM software, and program Bystronic press brakes using Bysoft.

  • Select tooling, determine feeds and speeds, and simulate programs to identify potential errors.

  • Develop fixtures for complex parts when needed.

  • Create machine setup sheets with clear operator instructions and visual aids.

  • Update manufacturing routings in the ERP system and document important manufacturing and quality requirements.

  • Work with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting teams to solve problems and improve production efficiency.

  • Follow shop safety practices and support production requirements, including overtime as needed.
