Assistant Director of Nursing - Now Hiring

A Healthcare Facility in Glens Falls, NY is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its team.

DUTIES:

• Assist the Director of Nursing with management responsibilities and maintaining quality of care.

• Conduct weekly wound and skin rounds.

• Ensure regulatory compliance and effective communication with all levels of nursing staff.

• Oversee the nursing care and medical needs of all residents.

• Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation.

• Coordinate and direct nursing service planning.

• Maintain a strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice.

• Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.

• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.

• Oversee daily staffing operations.

• Assist with infection control.

• Maintain a flexible schedule to address changing facility needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current New York State RN license required.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a long-term care setting.

• 2 years of management experience preferred.

• 1 year of staff education experience preferred.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.

• Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
