Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to inmates in a correctional facility, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
• Perform assessments, develop care plans, and implement treatment strategies in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications, monitor patient progress, and document care accurately and timely.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
• Educate patients about health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for both staff and inmates.

 

Requirements

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a correctional or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
