REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • Required:
    • Breech
    • Multiple births
    • Abruptions
    • VBAC's
    • Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
    • Office/minor gynecology (IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.)
    • Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only (tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation), Operative/major (includes diagnostic) (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's))
    • Laser certification

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Licenses: Active Michigan license
  • Other Qualifications:
    • Teaching supervision of FM residents and medical students
    • Conscious Sedation module (optional, provided free)

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide 24-hour call coverage for obstetrics and gynecology, including emergency response to ED and L&D within 10 minutes.
  • Manage labor and delivery, including high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and postpartum care.
  • Perform gynecological procedures such as IUD placement, colposcopy, LEEP, and surgical gynecology.
  • Round on assigned patients and consult on unassigned patients as needed.
  • Supervise and teach Family Medicine residents and medical students during their OB/GYN rotation.
