Our Farmers Insurance agency in Waukegan is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative. You’ll help current clients get answers, manage their policies, and resolve service requests.

This is primarily a customer service position, with opportunities to earn extra income through commissions and performance-based bonuses. Insurance experience is helpful, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Friday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Weekends off
• Full-time, in person at our Waukegan office. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, emails, questions, and client inquiries professionally.
• Assist clients with billing, payments, insurance documents, and policy changes.
• Review policy alerts, notify clients of required actions, and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare insurance quotes and explain available options once properly licensed.
• Maintain accurate client records and document conversations and service requests.
• Follow through on pending requests and keep clients informed.
• Identify opportunities for policy reviews and additional insurance coverage.
• Work with our team to provide friendly, accurate, and timely service.

Qualifications

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Spanish-speaking ability preferred, but not required.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain the required insurance license. We pay for the licensing class and reimburse the license fee once licensing is successfully completed.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• A patient, professional attitude and a desire to help people.
• Comfortable using computers, email, and learning agency software.
• Ability to manage multiple requests and work well with a team.
• Reliable attendance and availability for the listed office schedule.

Experience in customer service, retail, hospitality, banking, or office support is a plus. Previous insurance experience is not required.
