Equipment Operator | Freezer Warehouse

Looking for a few Equipment Operator to work in a freezer warehouse first shift! This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment where your skills in heavy equipment operation and materials handling will keep our distribution process running smoothly. As an essential part of our warehouse operations, you'll be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and equipment, ensuring accurate order picking, and maintaining efficient shipping and receiving procedures. Duties

• Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the freezer warehouse
• Conduct precise order picking using pickers and warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic repairs to maintain optimal operation and safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials, stacking pallets, and managing inventory flow with mechanical knowledge and materials handling expertise
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety procedures, and ensure adherence to all safety protocols including OSHA standards
• Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, equipment usage, and incident reports to support overall warehouse management

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo’s or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting
• Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking and inventory control
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with experience in materials handling within cold storage or freezer environments
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards
• Basic math skills for inventory counting and documentation accuracy
• Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair or troubleshooting minor issues quickly
• Prior warehouse experience with order picker operation or warehouse supervisor experience is highly desirable
• Valid certification for forklift or lift truck operation preferred; training provided if necessary
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude to support a safe working environment
