Assistant Manager/ Head horse trainer

Work with the owner to manage a registered Angus herd, including marketing approximately 120 bulls annually, while eventually assuming responsibility for the horse herd and training young horses for sale. This role reports directly to the owner.

Responsibilities

• Manage the registered Angus herd.
• Coordinate marketing and sales of approximately 120 bulls annually.
• Support breeding operations and maintain herd records.
• Monitor animal health and assess livestock condition.
• Manage the horse herd and oversee facility operations.
• Train and evaluate young horses for sale.
• Collaborate directly with the owner on herd management and operational decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of livestock and horse management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with Angus cattle management, equine training, livestock marketing, and animal husbandry.
• Knowledge of breeding management, animal health assessment, and horse behavior.
• Experience with sales coordination, recordkeeping, and team leadership.
