Job Description
Full-time warehouse position in Brooklyn, NY 11234 — $17–$18/hour. Monday–Friday, starting at 7:00 a.m., with 5:30 a.m. start once a week.
Electric pallet jack experience is required. Forklift experience is a plus—not required.
Bring your warehouse, receiving, stocking, or order-picking experience to a nonprofit food-distribution team. We’re looking for someone dependable who enjoys hands-on work, supports teammates, and wants to learn and grow in a long-term position. Part of the work takes place in refrigerated areas.
What You’ll Do
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for distribution.
- Use an electric pallet jack to move products and pallets.
- Help load and unload deliveries and organize incoming inventory.
- Replenish picking areas and move products into storage.
- Check product quantities and report damaged or missing items.
- Assist in receiving, picking, packing, and staging as daily needs change.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate additional equipment only after required training and authorization.
What You’ll Need
- At least one year of recent warehouse, freight, receiving, or order-picking experience.
- Hands-on experience using an electric pallet jack.
- Availability for a full-time Monday–Friday morning schedule.
- Comfort working part of your shift in refrigerated or cold areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the role’s physical duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work independently or with a team.
- Willingness to help in different warehouse areas and learn new tasks.
Your experience does not need to come from a traditional warehouse. Candidates with hands-on receiving, freight, replenishment, or order-picking experience in grocery stores, wholesale clubs, home-improvement stores, or beverage distribution are encouraged to apply. Electric pallet jack experience is required.
Helpful, but Not Required
- Forklift experience.
- Food distribution or refrigerated warehouse experience.
- Nonprofit or community-service experience.
Why Apply?
- Full-time weekday morning schedule.
- Meaningful work supporting food distribution to the community.
- An opportunity to build skills and take on additional responsibilities as you grow.
