  • Maintain proper product rotation and follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures where applicable.
  • Keep receiving docks, staging areas, and equipment clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers, purchasing, inventory personnel, warehouse associates, and management to resolve receiving discrepancies.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, temperature-control, workplace safety, and equipment-operation procedures.
  • Report equipment damage, unsafe conditions, product loss, and operational concerns promptly.
  • Perform additional warehouse duties assigned to support daily operational demands.

  • Produce industry experience is a plus, particularly experience identifying quality, freshness, ripeness, and spoilage issues.
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to count accurately, compare quantities, and identify discrepancies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while working at a fast pace.
  • Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks safely and efficiently; must meet company training and authorization requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand purchase orders, invoices, product labels, and receiving documentation.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following direction from management.
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and cold-storage environments.
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle produce cases and other warehouse materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Commitment to safe work practices, food safety, accountability, and maintaining product integrity.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Schedule and Work Environment

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours based on delivery schedules and operational needs.
  • Availability to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, as business demands require.
  • Must be able to adapt to changing workloads, unexpected truck arrivals, and time-sensitive receiving deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse with refrigerated storage areas.
  • Must be willing to adjust priorities to support the overall needs of the operation.
