Prototype CNC Machinist

We are seeking a new full-time CNC Machinist / Programmer addition to our shop team. The ideal candidate is reliable, eager, detail oriented, has a strong work ethic and enjoys working with their hands. Competitive starting pay and benefits package available. Schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident and abide by drug and alcohol-free workplace policy.

Responsibilities

- Programming, setup and operation of CNC Mill and Lathe Machines, utilizing Windows-based computers and Mastercam Software

- Setup and operation of manual Lathe and Milling Machines

- Forklift operation: loading and unloading materials onto machines, delivery trucks and customer vehicles

- Use of various hand tools, power tools and precision measurement instruments

- In-process inspection of products to specification drawing to ensure acceptance

- Deburring and cleaning of parts

- Cleaning and minor maintenance activities

- Must be able to lift up to 65 - 75 pounds comfortably

- This job entails frequent standing and occasional bending and kneeling

- Assist customers with unloading and loading materials and provide excellent customer service

- Multi-task as needed to accomplish multiple tasks, especially when long machine run-times exist (i.e. deburring or cleaning parts, cleaning work area, running additional machine, etc)

Experience

- CNC Mill programming and setup experience required. CNC Lathe experience preferred.

Required Skills:

- Proficient with Windows-based PC, including network folder navigation

- Mastercam Software programming

- Strong attention to detail, meticulous in producing quality work and products

- Experience with Power Tools and Hand Tools

- Strong organizational skills in keeping work areas clean and orderly

- Time management

Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Creative thinking for fixture making

- Inspection equipment - proper use

- Drafting / mechanical part drawings familiarity, understanding of GD&T tolerancing

- Fabrication experience
