Food Service Jobs - Cook, Assistant Cook & Food Service Supervisor

• Assist with food preparation and meal presentation.
• Transport prepared meals to the serving line and keep serving counters stocked.
• Wash dishes and clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and other food service spaces.

• Help maintain food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.

• Store and dispose of food properly.

• Help oversee food service staff, serving areas, dining room activities, and student conduct when management is absent.
• Provide quality customer service and interact respectfully with students.
• Follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and maintain consistent attendance and productivity.

• Oversee daily food service operations, including food preparation, the dining room, and the student store/snack bar.
• Plan menus, coordinate food purchasing, manage the department budget, and maintain food quality.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate food service staff, including hiring recommendations and performance management.
• Coordinate food preparation for special events and box lunches.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, OSHA, health department, and applicable program requirements.
• Maintain clean and organized food service areas and ensure proper food handling procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and help maintain a positive dining environment.
• Monitor department performance, address operational issues, and work with other departments to support student needs.

• High school diploma or GED required for all positions. No exceptions.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong reliability, attendance, and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain clean, safe, and sanitary food service areas.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to interact respectfully with young adults and contribute to a positive environment.
