Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Operator to assist with computerized cutting equipment used to manufacture custom foam inserts and protective cases for precision tools and equipment.

The ideal candidate has experience operating computerized manufacturing equipment, entering measurements or machine settings, and working with production software.

Previous experience with laser cutting, CNC routing, computerized cutting equipment, or similar machinery is highly desirable. Candidates with strong computer skills and related manufacturing experience who are willing to learn may also be considered.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate computerized cutting equipment to produce custom foam inserts.
• Use computer software to enter measurements, adjust cutting layouts, and follow production instructions.
• Measure, cut, and fit foam materials into protective cases.
• Assemble and inspect completed cases to ensure proper fit and quality.
• Read and follow basic drawings, measurements, and work instructions.
• Use measuring tools to verify dimensions and accuracy.
• Monitor equipment during operation and report any issues.
• Perform basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate production records using computer programs.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with other production and assembly tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Basic to intermediate computer skills are required.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and understand dimensions.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work with small components.
• Comfortable working with computers and production machinery.
• Dependable, organized, and willing to learn.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Previous manufacturing, production, or assembly experience.
• Experience operating computer-controlled machinery.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Adobe, or similar software.
• Experience with laser cutting, foam cutting, or custom case assembly.
