Mig Welder

The MIG Welder will support structural fabrication of stainless ductwork projects, performing custom and project-based fabrication under the Shop Foreman's direction. This role offers opportunities to advance to Lead Welder. These MIG stainless steel ductwork welding jobs are located in Hackberry, Louisiana, at the LNG Phase 2 project. Must have a welding certificate from a welding school.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG stainless steel welding on ductwork.
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Prepare materials for structural and custom fabrication.
• Set up and operate welding equipment.
• Fit and align joints before MIG-welding stainless steel ductwork.
• Inspect welds for quality and conformance.
• Maintain MIG welding equipment and work areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of MIG stainless welding experience.
• Technical certificate in MIG welding or metal fabrication.
• Experience with MIG stainless welding and structural fabrication.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication and weld quality inspection.
• Familiarity with measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
