Logistics Analyst

The Logistics Analyst ensures timely product delivery by using the corporate Transportation Management System to select carriers based on cost, service, and capacity. This role focuses on facility shipment execution across multiple transportation modes, maintaining sufficient capacity, resolving disruptions, and supporting on-time customer delivery.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the transportation liaison among plants, carriers, and customers.
• Coordinate recovery shipments and shipment coverage across multiple modes.
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery and pickup.
• Monitor network trends, delays, dwell times, and other exceptions affecting delivery performance.
• Manage trailer pools and ensure adequate equipment to address transportation disruptions.
• Keep stakeholders informed and drive timely resolution of shipment issues.
• Respond to customer complaints and notify customers of shipment delays.
• Provide real-time customer support in a fast-paced operating environment.
• Escalate business-unit operational issues to the supervisor weekly.
• Maintain a positive, solutions-oriented approach to transportation challenges and customer service.

Position Specifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics. Equivalent experience considered.
• 3-5 years as a Transportation Specialist/Planner utilizing a TMS to manage shipment and transportation operations or logistics experience
• Must be able to prioritize workload and deliver to timelines
• Ability to use technology to solve business problems
• Must be creative, resourceful, organized & able to establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Microsoft Excel Intermediate-Advanced
