About the Role:
REELSAFE SAFETY LLC is looking for a driven and detail-oriented EHS Specialist to join our team in Fremont, CA. Responsibilities:
- Maintain environmental compliance calendars, permit registers, reporting schedules, and associated records.
- Support compliance with applicable federal, California, Bay Area, and local environmental requirements.
- Manage and support air, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, storm water, wastewater, and industrial discharge compliance activities, as applicable.
- Coordinate inspections, monitoring, sampling, reporting, permit applications and renewals, and regulatory submissions.
- Develop, review, and update environmental plans, procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
- Conduct compliance inspections, track corrective actions, and support environmental incident and spill investigations and response activities.
- Maintain environmental documentation, including permits, manifests, analytical results, training records, inspection records, and agency correspondence.
- Coordinate with laboratories, waste vendors, consultants, and other environmental service providers.
- Provide environmental training and compliance guidance, and support audits, agency inspections, and information requests.
- Evaluate the environmental impacts of operational changes, new equipment, chemicals, and processes through change-management reviews.
- Track environmental performance metrics and support sustainability reporting and management updates.
- New chemical risk analysis and assessment for the site.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in an EHS Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and Cal/OSHA regulations
- Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits
- Excellent communication and training facilitation skills
- Proficiency in maintaining EHS management systems and compliance documentation
- CSP, CHMM, or other relevant EHS certification is a plus
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and committed to continuous improvement
