Senior Accountant (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a contract opportunity. This role will be responsible for overseeing the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close processes, and providing financial insights to leadership. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger maintenance, month-end close, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Review and reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, intercompany transactions, and loan activity.
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll-related reporting, ensuring timely and accurate records.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and budget-to-actual analyses.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for leadership.
• Partner with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial partners as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiencies.
• Provide financial analysis and actionable insights to support business decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience managing month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with multiple entities, intercompany transactions, payroll, and budgeting is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
