This public behavioral health system operates as a county-based organization delivering culturally responsive mental health and substance use services that promote wellness, recovery, and resiliency. The facility serves residents of all ages directly and through a network of contracted community-based organizations. Services include assessment, therapy, medication management, case management, and crisis intervention.

The local zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and is home to over 190 species. Museums covering science, natural history, and art are accessible nearby, as is the Theo Kearney Mansion Museum, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Clinicians in this role will provide full-time outpatient psychiatric services via telehealth for an adult population, working day shifts Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week. Clinical responsibilities include conducting initial psychiatric evaluations (60-90 minutes per evaluation) and providing medication management follow-up appointments (30 minutes per visit) for adults and older adults presenting with community mental health and behavioral health conditions. Clinicians must demonstrate proficiency with technology and possess prior telehealth experience in a county behavioral health setting. A minimum 6-month commitment is required to start, and the SmartCare EMR system is used for all clinical documentation.
