Job Summary
We are seeking highly skilled, experienced Combo Welders for an industrial manufacturing project in Beasley, Texas. Qualified candidates will have strong TIG and Stick welding experience, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and the skills necessary to produce high-quality welds in a demanding industrial environment.
Candidates with a minimum of 15 years of relevant welding experience who successfully pass the required 6G TIG and 2G Stick welding tests may be eligible for a starting rate of $45.00 per hour.
Candidates with fewer than 15 years of experience will also be considered for other welder levels, with starting pay determined by experience, weld test results, and other job-related qualifications.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Join, fabricate, and repair metal components and other weldable materials using appropriate welding techniques.
- Perform TIG root-pass welding and Stick welding for fill and cap passes on pipe-to-plate headers.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, and schematics to determine the appropriate welding procedures.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural soundness.
- Perform a variety of highly skilled welding tasks in an industrial environment.
- Follow applicable welding procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- May lead and direct the work of other employees as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive, relevant welding experience, preferably in industrial pipe and header welding.
- Strong hands-on TIG and Stick welding skills.
- Ability to interpret welding drawings and technical specifications.
- Ability to successfully complete the required 6G TIG and 2G Stick welding tests.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work day or night shifts and overtime as required.
Welding Test Requirements
Candidates must successfully complete a 6G TIG and 2G Stick welding test. Testing includes visual inspection and 100% X-ray examination.
Compensation & Schedule
- Starting pay of $45.00 per hour may be available to candidates with at least 15 years of relevant welding experience who successfully pass the required tests.
- Candidates with less experience may qualify for other welder levels and corresponding pay rates.
- Overtime opportunities available.
- Day and night shifts available.
