About the Facility

This community-based Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program delivers outpatient psychiatric and wraparound services to adults living with serious mental illness, including those with co-occurring substance use disorders. A multidisciplinary team comprising psychiatry, therapy, case management, employment specialists, and peer support delivers care directly in the community, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The program employs a culturally sensitive, gender-responsive approach with a focus on medication management, stabilization, and supporting clients in achieving independent living.

About the Facility Location

Fresno offers a range of cultural, natural, and recreational attractions suited to varied interests. Points of interest include the Forestiere Underground Gardens, Fresno Chaffee Zoo, and the Fresno Art Museum, which houses a permanent collection of pre-Columbian artifacts alongside rotating exhibitions. The Tower District serves as a hub for dining, shopping, and nightlife, centered around a landmark Art Deco theater. Outdoor enthusiasts may explore Woodward Park, hike Pincushion Peak for views of the San Joaquin River and Millerton Lake, or drive the 62-mile Blossom Trail through surrounding farmland and fruit orchards.

About the Clinician's Workday

Clinical responsibilities include conducting initial psychiatric evaluations (60 minutes) and medication management follow-up appointments (30 minutes) for adults presenting with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
