Machine Operator (2nd Shift) — Mon–Thurs — $19.54/hr + 10% shift differential after training

Location: Manitowoc, WI 54220 (On-site)
Pay: $19.54/hour (W2)
Shift differential: 10% once training is complete and you move to 2nd shift
Schedule (Mon–Thurs):

• Training (1st shift): 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• After training (2nd shift): 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Type: Try-Before-Hire

ABR Employment Services is hiring Machine Operators for a manufacturer in Manitowoc. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, precision measurement, and consistent weekday scheduling (no weekends).

What you’ll do

• Perform in-process and final inspections per job instructions
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, bore micrometers, and dial indicator/height gauge
• Read and interpret part prints/blueprints and understand critical dimensions tied to SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Use an SPC computer system and follow customer requirements
• Record production/material/quality results accurately in operating systems
• Maintain cleanliness and safety around equipment (scrap removal; address oil/coolant or slip hazards promptly)
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE (including hearing protection)

What we’re looking for

• High School Diploma / GED
• Strong attention to detail; able to perform accurate, precise work
• Ability to read, write, and do basic calculations
• Team-oriented with solid communication skills
• Comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs

Work environment

• Temperature-controlled production floor
• Oil, coolant, and noise present (hearing protection required)
• Must complete and pass required safety training/testing
