Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed Labor and Delivery unit where patients remain in the same room throughout their stay, including labor, delivery, and recovery
• Circulate and recover patients for C-sections in one of two OR suites on the unit
• Staff triage (4 beds) and deliver postpartum couplet care following AWHONN staffing standards (1:1 labor, 1:3 postpartum couplets, 1:3 triage)
• Titrate drips including Pitocin Protocol, Magnesium Protocol, and insulin drips as needed
• Attend deliveries, complete newborn stabilization and physical assessment within the first two hours of life, and serve as a second sign-off on medications when assigned as resource nurse
• Float to other Treasure Valley sites within the same health system in primary skill set (L&D/Mother Baby) or as a sitter for full shifts as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience (3 years strongly preferred)
• Mother-baby experience required; minimum 1 year preferred
• Must have demonstrated experience attending deliveries, performing triage, circulating C-sections, and providing postpartum couplet care
• Experience with magnesium administration and titration required
• Required certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, and S.T.A.B.L.E.
• Must be able to complete compliance and EPIC Curio assignments prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Centricity EFM system
• Experience caring for diverse patient populations including HTN/magnesium patients, TOLACs, gestational diabetes, and antepartum patients at 32 weeks gestation or greater
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
