Contract | Nights (17:45–06:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within a small rural Critical Access Hospital setting
• Support postpartum patients as needed, with an expected 1:1 postpartum patient ratio
• Manage Medical Surgical patient assignments at an average 1:3 patient ratio, which may represent the majority of shifts worked
• Document patient care using CPSI and Perigen charting systems
• Occasionally assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as operationally needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or Multistate (Compact) RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification required — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NRP certification required — must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
• Previous experience in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) setting required
• Local travelers are welcome and will be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Postpartum nursing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with CPSI and/or Perigen electronic health record systems
• Flu vaccination is strongly preferred; religious and medical exemptions are accepted, though unvaccinated staff may be required to wear a mask during flu season
