CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Position Overview\n

We are seeking a qualified CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with open heart experience to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in scrubbing various specialties including Orthopedic, Neurology, DaVinci robotic, General, and Gynecology cases. This role requires flexibility and expertise in a dynamic surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room for surgical procedures.
\n
• Scrub for open heart surgeries, ensuring the sterile field is maintained at all times.
\n
• Participate in general surgical cases when not engaged in open heart procedures.
\n
• Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and patient safety.
\n
• Utilize equipment effectively, including Stryker technology and Cerner EMR.
\n

Qualifications\n

\n
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential from NBSTSA.
\n
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
\n
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a surgical setting with a focus on open heart cases.
\n

Work Schedule\n

This position requires working daytime shifts from 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM. Availability for weeknight and weekend call is expected.

Additional Information\n

• Patient care will be in a unit with a 1:1 patient ratio, allowing for focused surgical attention.
\n
• The surgical team will utilize surgical blue for scrub colors.
\n
• Orientation available on designated Mondays, with flexibility for holidays.
\n
