Speech Language Pathologist (Feeding/Pediatric) – Home Health | Travel & Local | San Antonio, TX
Location: San Antonio, TX (patient coverage in the Victoria and Yorktown areas)
Assignment length: 10 weeks
Start date: 11/02/2026 (ends 01/07/2027)
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour days, 8:00 AM – 6:15 PM
Work week: 4 days per week, no weekends
Setting: Pediatric home health
About the Assignment
We’re seeking a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist with feeding expertise for a 10-week home health assignment in the San Antonio area. You’ll see an average of 7–8 patients per day, with a weekly visit requirement of 32. Cases include feeding, AAC, and speech/language. Travel to Yorktown is required for 2 patients. There is no weekend work. Travel and local candidates are both welcome, and locals receive the same rate.
What you’ll do:
- Perform comprehensive speech therapy evaluations using standardized tests to determine patients’ needs
- Develop and implement treatment plans aligned with physicians’ orders, using your clinical judgment
- Develop home exercise programs in partnership with patients’ caregivers
- Collaborate and coordinate care with other providers and disciplines
- Meet the agency’s weekly minimum visit requirement
- Complete chart updates, progress summaries, call logs, and other paperwork on deadline
- Meet with agency personnel as needed to maintain care standards and expectations
- Follow all agency policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws governing pediatric home health speech-language pathology
Requirements
- Active Texas state license, in hand at submission
- ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) required
- Pediatric experience required
- Feeding experience required
- Experience managing behaviors required
- First-timers accepted
- Preferred: children’s hospital, pediatric outpatient, or pediatric rehabilitation facility experience
- Preferred: experience with mental, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorders
- Preferred: sign language skills
- CPR certification preferred, not required
Travel and local candidates are both welcome. Local PAY PACKAGE with differ. Rate shown is for TRAVEL
