Job Description

Job Description
Own the process. Elevate the product.

Join a high-performing manufacturing organization where your process expertise directly shapes product quality and launch success. As our Plastics Process Development & Robotics Engineer, you’ll be the catalyst behind robust molding conditions, reliable automation, and continuous improvement on the plant floor.

The mission

Engineer rock-solid processes for current programs and new product introductions. Use data, disciplined experimentation, and hands-on troubleshooting to reduce variation and unlock throughput.

Your first 90 days
  • 30 days: Benchmark current molding cells, review quality data, and stabilize top offenders.
  • 60 days: Implement DOEs to confirm optimal parameter windows; document standard work and train operators.
  • 90 days: Optimize robot paths and handoffs (Fanuc), tighten cycle times, and lock in sustainable gains.
Core responsibilities
  • Create and refine process documentation and procedures for legacy and new product builds.
  • Lead Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate changes and define control limits.
  • Program and fine-tune industrial robots (Fanuc preferred) to ensure safe, consistent part handling.
  • Troubleshoot molding and automation equipment to rapidly resolve downtime and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality to drive production optimization and standardization.
Background that fits
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Manufacturing experience; automotive industry exposure preferred.
  • Experience as a Process Technician and/or Engineer.
  • Strong injection molding foundation, including process development and start-up.
  • Industrial robot programming capability, ideally with Fanuc.
  • Expert troubleshooting skills for industrial automation equipment.
  • Quality control data analysis, production optimization, and DOE proficiency.
Equipment ecosystem
  • Injection molding: Nissei, Sodick, Arburg
  • Robotics: Fanuc
Work style & employment
  • Direct-hire role with no contract/temp phase.
  • Monday–Friday schedule, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., flexible.

If you’re energized by turning variability into repeatability—and by seeing your standards run flawlessly on the floor—this is your next step.
