Prestige Care Center at Fairfield is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Rehabilitation to lead our rehabilitation services program. This leadership role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by guiding a dedicated therapy team and helping residents achieve their highest level of function, independence, and quality of life.

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Iowa who is passionate about clinical excellence, team development, and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department.
• Provide clinical leadership, mentorship, and support to therapy staff.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, individualized therapy services.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive resident outcomes.
• Monitor documentation, regulatory compliance, and therapy program effectiveness.
• Participate in care plan meetings and communicate resident progress.
• Assist with staff scheduling, development, training, and performance management.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and compassionate rehabilitation environment.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa license as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) required.
• Previous skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to providing exceptional resident-centered care.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation practices, documentation requirements, and regulatory standards.
