Process Controls Manager

This is a working leadership position. You'll run the Controls Division day to day, including scheduling, budgets, crews, and customers. When your schedule allows, you'll also be hands-on with design, programming, and commissioning. If you like building systems and building a team, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all Controls Division operations, including scheduling crews and projects across multiple jobs
• Develop and manage division and project budgets, estimates, and cost tracking
• Supervise, train, and mentor controls technicians and electricians
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, general contractors, and engineers
• Review drawings and specifications; prepare bids and proposals
• Perform project work as time allows: controls design, PLC/HMI programming, panel layout, troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning
• Make sure all work meets NEC, safety, and quality standards
• Work with company leadership to grow the division

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in industrial, commercial, or building controls
• Experience leading crews or managing projects, schedules, and budgets
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, and control panel design
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, building automation platforms, and Intellution (iFIX) and Wonderware SCADA software preferred
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Working knowledge of the NEC and jobsite safety practices
• Strong communication skills with both field crews and customers
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office and estimating/project management software
• Valid driver's license
• IBEW Local 697 membership, or willingness to join (membership dues are paid by the employee)
