2nd Shift Sewer

Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Rug Sewer to join our rug manufacturing team on 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:30 PM). This position is responsible for sewing and assembling rug components using industrial sewing equipment while ensuring high-quality standards and production goals are met. Key Responsibilities • Operate industrial sewing machines to sew rug edges, backing, bindings, and other components • Measure, align, and assemble rug materials according to specifications • Inspect finished products for defects, accuracy, and quality standards • Repair or re-sew rugs when necessary to meet quality requirements • Maintain consistent production output while following safety guidelines • Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards • Report machine malfunctions, damaged materials, or quality issues to supervisors • Follow company policies and procedures for manufacturing and workplace safety Qualifications & Skills • Previous sewing experience preferred (industrial sewing experience a plus) • Ability to operate sewing machines and use basic hand tools • Strong attention to detail and quality control • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Reliable attendance and ability to work the scheduled shift Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for extended periods • Ability to lift and move materials up to 30–50 lbs • Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Work Environment This position is located in a manufacturing facility where noise levels may be moderate to high, and the work involves working with fabric, backing materials, and industrial sewing equipment.
