Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire / Seasonal | Status: Full-Time | Shift: 1st

Where: Ramsey, MN | Pay: $19.00–$23.00 per hour

Typical Schedule: Monday–Friday, start between 7:00–7:30 AM and finish around 4:30–5:00 PM (hours flex with workload and weather)

Your Day in the Field

Sun’s up in Ramsey and the crew rolls out. You check the equipment, load materials, and head to the first property—sometimes a neighborhood lawn with crisp edges to perfect, other times a commercial site that needs a full cleanup. You’ll mow long stripes into turf, trim along sidewalks and beds, shape shrubs, and blow away clippings to leave each site spotless. Between stops, you’ll pitch in on landscaping projects—moving mulch, raking, shoveling, hauling, and setting the jobsite for the next task. Throughout the day, you’ll work side-by-side with experienced teammates, follow safety practices, and keep tools clean and organized.

What You’ll Tackle

• Mow residential and commercial properties with precision.
• Edge and string-trim along walks, curbs, and landscape borders.
• Trim shrubs and bushes to maintain healthy, clean shapes.
• Blow off grass, leaves, and debris from hard surfaces.
• Assist with landscaping and property improvement projects.
• Complete spring and fall cleanups and general grounds cleanup.
• Rake, shovel, haul, and move materials using wheelbarrows and hand tools.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies safely.
• Support experienced crew members and follow daily plans.
• Care for and properly use landscaping tools and machinery.
• Keep jobsites orderly, professional, and safe.
• Follow supervisor directions and safety procedures around equipment.
• Pitch in with additional lawn and landscape tasks as assigned.

What Helps You Succeed

• Background in landscaping, lawn care, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor is a plus—not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and motivated to learn.
• Team player who can also work independently once trained.
• Respectful communication, positive attitude, and pride in quality.
• Comfort working outdoors in changing weather and temperatures.
• Safe around landscaping equipment and machinery.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and repeat motions through the day.
• Able to lift, carry, load/unload, and move materials and equipment; sustained physical work for extended periods.

Work Environment

• Outdoor work through variable weather and temperatures.
• Active role with lawn care, landscaping, material handling, and cleanup.
• Frequent use of mowers, trimmers, blowers, hand tools, and other power equipment.
• Hours vary with workload, weather, and seasonality.
• During spring and fall cleanups, expect about three weeks of 10–11 hour days.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn as required.
