A growing manufacturing company is seeking a Logistics Operator / Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations. This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process, including shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and coordinating the movement of materials from the warehouse to the production floor.
Responsibilities - Prepare and organize shipping documentation.
- Assemble and package installation kits according to customer orders.
- Create packing lists, bills of lading, shipping labels, and related documentation.
- Load, unload, and move materials as needed within the facility.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight providers to schedule shipments and pickups.
- Verify orders and shipment quantities against picking documents.
- Ensure domestic and international shipments include all required paperwork.
- Monitor quality concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
- Communicate order discrepancies to the customer service team.
- Support daily shipping and warehouse operations to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to read and follow standard operating procedures and work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable and accountable professional with a strong work ethic.
- Adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
