We are currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative for a growing manufacturing company in the Gurnee area. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience with order entry and SAP.
Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely and professional support via phone and email. You will assist with customer inquiries, process orders, resolve issues, and help ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities - Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email.
- Provide accurate product and order information.
- Process customer orders, returns, and exchanges using SAP.
- Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions.
- Escalate complex issues to the appropriate department when necessary.
- Support a positive customer experience through excellent communication and follow-up.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience using SAP in a customer service, order entry, or similar role is required.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage calls, orders, and customer requests simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
- Comfortable working on a computer and wearing a headset throughout the day.
- Ability to communicate effectively while managing multiple customer requests.
