Program Aide

About the Role:
Fresno CBAS is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time, Program Aide (Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM) to join our team in Fresno, CA! In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in delivering supportive services to participants and staff with individualized, high-quality care and programming.

Areas of Responsibility:


1. Assists other staff in carrying out program assignments.

2. Works in conjunction with other staff in relation to participant care, as assigned by the Activity Director

3. Is responsible for order and cleanliness of the program areas and equipment.

4. Carry out an assigned task as deemed necessary.

5. Provides personal care, such as toileting, bathing, eating, transferring, dressing, or grooming under the supervision of the nurse and the Activity Director.

6. Assist the Activities Director in carrying out the activity program.

7. Assist other center staff in meal and snack serving.

8. Cleans-up and organizes program areas, including the cleaning of equipment.

9. Write notes as indicated.

10. Under the direct supervision of the RN or OT/PT, will implement the OT/PT Maintenance Program and will document and report changes in the participant’s condition to the appropriate supervisor. The Program Aide is responsible for providing the physical and/or occupational therapy maintenance therapy services as specified on the IPC and will document those services on the same days as they are provided.

11. Attends and actively participates in the intake and assessment process.

12. Attends center staff meetings and in-service educational training programs.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Prior experience in a caregiving, social services, or community-based setting preferred
• Genuine compassion for working with elderly, disabled, or vulnerable populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Conditions of Employment:


T.B. and physical clearance for reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and grasping; have full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs; may need to lift and transfer participants; must have current First Aid and CPR; must have reliable private vehicle, proof of CA driver's license and provide proof of current vehicle insurance.
