Heavy Equipment Operator

Safely operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, skid steers, backhoes, and motor graders.

Perform site preparation, excavation, trenching, grading, and leveling.

Move and position heavy materials as needed.

Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections.

Check fluid levels, hydraulic systems, and grease equipment components.

Identify and report mechanical issues to help prevent equipment downtime.

Follow OSHA regulations, site-specific safety procedures, and equipment operating guidelines.

Maintain awareness of underground utilities, overhead power lines, and load-capacity requirements.

Read and interpret site layouts, grade stakes, and construction drawings.

Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other crew members to complete projects safely and on schedule.

Minimum of 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience.

Ability to safely operate and maneuver heavy machinery.

Knowledge of equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.

Ability to understand grade stakes, site plans, and construction drawings.

Strong awareness of job-site safety procedures.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
