About this job
Job Description
We need someone who knows the work and can lead the people doing it.
PCGH is seeking an experienced human services leader to oversee residential and day services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).
The Director of Services works closely with the Executive Director, Clinical Director, nursing, Human Resources and program leadership to keep services staffed, compliant, well-managed and responsive to the people we support.
This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility across multiple programs and locations. You'll supervise program leaders, address operational problems, review service quality and documentation, prepare for regulatory surveys, respond to significant incidents and family concerns, and help guide the development of PCGH's services.
- Supervision and support of Program Coordinators, Program Directors and Residential Coordinators
- Service delivery, staffing, documentation and regulatory compliance across residential and day programs
- Licensing surveys, accreditation requirements, inspections and corrective-action follow-up
- Coordination of significant incidents, admissions, discharges, family and guardian concerns, and program changes
- Collaboration with HR on training, onboarding, employee performance and disciplinary matters
- Development and improvement of programs and services based on organizational and individual needs
The Director of Services also serves as PCGH's HIPAA Privacy Officer, overseeing confidentiality practices, privacy-related concerns and the agency's response to potential privacy violations.
Substantial experience working with adults or young adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities is required. Candidates should bring a strong background in program management, residential services, disability services or a closely related human services field.
Experience with ICF/IID facilities, Innovations Waiver services, group homes, adult day programs, TBI services and North Carolina's regulatory requirements is especially valuable.
Qualification as a QIDP, or the ability to meet federal QIDP qualification standards, is strongly preferred. Candidates should have experience supervising staff, interpreting and applying regulations, handling competing operational priorities, and communicating effectively with employees, families, guardians and other professionals.
This is a full-time, exempt leadership position. Most work occurs during regular weekday business hours. PCGH operates around the clock, however, and occasional availability outside normal business hours is part of the responsibility.
- Salary based on experience and qualifications
- Health, dental and vision insurance
- Paid time off (PTO)
- 403(b) retirement savings plan
- Paid training and professional development opportunities
- Employee referral rewards, discounts and additional benefits
PCGH, Inc. has served adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries since 1975 through residential, day and community-based services.
If you've led I/DD services, know what it takes to support staff and maintain strong programs, and are ready for a larger leadership role, we'd like to hear from you.
