Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist with expertise in Yardi to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and precise account reconciliation. Your efforts will directly support the organization’s financial health by maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive accounting and finance experience, including proficiency with various financial software systems, and demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills.

Duties

• Manage accounts receivable processes using Yardi, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
• Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and execute effective collection strategies.
• Ensure accuracy of billing through data entry, account analysis, and application of payments.
• Prepare detailed reports on aging receivables, payment status, and collection activities.
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger with general ledger entries to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with clients to resolve billing discrepancies and respond to inquiries professionally.

Experience

• Minimum of three years’ experience in accounts receivable management within a corporate accounting environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Yardi software; experience with other financial software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, QuickBooks, or Quicken is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation.
