Tigg's Canteen Services is seeking a dependable, motivated, and hardworking Part-Time Lead Cook to join our team at Ionia County Jail in Ionia, Michigan. We are looking for someone who demonstrates integrity, strong character, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a structured correctional environment.

The ideal candidate will be able to:

• Work professionally and effectively in a structured correctional environment.

• Read, understand, and follow company recipes and food preparation guidelines.

• Lead, instruct, and assist with daily kitchen operations and meal preparation.

• Perform food preparation, baking, cooking, and kitchen cleanup duties.

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.

• Maintain a positive attitude while helping ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays.

• Flexibility to work varying days and hours, with shifts scheduled between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM.

• Ability to work 10-hour shifts.

• Successful clearance and approval to work within the facility.

Previous food service or kitchen experience is preferred, but it is not required. We are willing to train the right person! A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and commitment to teamwork are what matter most.
