Industrial Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

Starting Pay: $28+ per hour, based on experience
Full-Time | Weekdays | 1st Shift

Cibes|Symmetry is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep our manufacturing machinery, equipment, and facility operating safely and efficiently. If you enjoy hands-on troubleshooting, solving mechanical and electrical problems, and preventing equipment downtime, we’d like to hear from you.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventive and routine maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related equipment issues

• Install, adjust, align, and repair equipment and components

• Read and interpret schematics, drawings, and equipment manuals

• Document maintenance activities and communicate repair needs and equipment status

• Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures, and assist with facility repairs as needed

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• At least two years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience

• Previous experience performing preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment

• Previous experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems involving bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and pneumatics

• Previous experience troubleshooting electrical systems, including motors, sensors, control panels, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and low- to medium-voltage wiring

• Previous experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs)

• Ability to read technical documentation and use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment

• Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and safe maintenance practices

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment around moving machinery, typical production noise, and occasional hot or cold conditions. Essential functions include standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, regularly lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
