Pipefitter - 1st Class - Per Diem

• Install, repair, and fit marine piping systems according to blueprints and specifications.
• Measure, cut, fabricate, and align piping components.
• Perform pipe fit-ups, including rolling offsets, flanges, valves, and mechanical fittings.
• Perform silver brazing on copper and copper-nickel (CuNi) piping.
• Operate hand tools, cutting torches, and pipefitting equipment.
• Inspect piping systems, correct deficiencies, and assist with pressure and operational testing.
• Follow shipyard safety procedures, including hot work and Lockout/Tagout requirements.

• Minimum 2 years of shipbuilding experience OR 5 years of industrial pipefitting experience.
• Ability to read piping blueprints, installation drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience with copper, CuNi, and mechanical piping connections.
• Knowledge of Navy shipboard piping systems preferred.
• Proficiency with standard and metric measurements.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding shipyard environments.
• Must successfully complete required skills assessments, including applicable silver brazing tests.
• Available for various shifts and overtime as required.
