Medical Biller

Job description:

Our client is a Northwell Health affiliated revenue management company. They are searching for an Accounts Receivable Specialist/Medical Biller to join their growing team in Chappaqua, NY.

Compensation: $27.00/hour based on experience

Hybrid Role:

\n
• In-office: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
\n
• Remote: Monday and Wednesday (must have your own system with secure Wi-Fi)
\n
• Monday- Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm
\n

As a vital part of the billing operations team, you'll:

\n
• Reviews insurance payments for accuracy based on agreed upon fee schedules
\n
• Prepares and sends appeals for underpaid or incorrectly denied claims
\n
• Makes follow up calls to insurance carriers on outstanding balances
\n
• Answers patient telephone calls during business hours
\n
• Completes other daily tasks as assigned
\n

What You Bring:

\n
• 2 years medical billing experience, including filing claim appeals (required)
\n
• Strong Medical Billing Preferred
\n
• Sharp attention to detail & top-notch organizational skills
\n
• Confident verbal and written communication abilities
\n
• Self-motivated with the discipline to work independently on remote days
\n
