Senior Manager / Manager, Corporate Development | Seattle, WA

We’re partnering with a multibillion dollar, family owned group of transportation and logistics businesses on a Senior Manager / Manager hire for their Corporate Development team.

\n

The role reports to the VP of Corporate Development. It covers the full range of strategic transactions, including M&A, divestitures, JVs and investments. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and the operating company teams. Because the company is privately held, it can take a long term view on capital allocation.

What you’ll do

\n

\n
• Run M&A, divestitures, JVs and minority investments from first look to close
\n
• Lead due diligence with bankers, advisors and internal teams
\n
• Build three statement models, valuations and business cases that drive capital allocation
\n
• Source and build a pipeline of acquisition targets across multiple sectors
\n
• Partner with operating companies on bolt on deals and special projects
\n
• Turn complex analysis into clear presentations for leadership
\n

What you bring

\n

\n
• 5 to 7 years of experience, including 3+ in M&A at an investment bank, PE firm or corporate development team
\n
• Strong modeling, valuation and diligence skills
\n
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and keep a process moving
\n
• Comfort with ambiguity and curiosity about how businesses create value
\n
• Undergrad in finance, accounting, economics or business (MBA or CFA a plus)
\n
• Willingness to travel about 25%
