Advanced CNC Milling/Turning Specialist -- Tight‑Tolerance Manufacturing

Is this you?

• Can you visualize a toolpath the moment you see a blueprint for a drilling or geotechnical part?
• Do you thrive when the tolerance band is ±0.001" and the material list spans steel, aluminum, and exotic alloys?
• Are you equally comfortable writing G-code by hand and posting programs from CAM?

What you'll own

• Programming CNC machines (G-code and/or CAM) to produce complex precision components used in drilling and geotechnical equipment.
• Executing complex setups: fixturing strategies, tooling selection, and precise work/tool offsets.
• Running close-tolerance parts and verifying all critical dimensions to blueprint specifications.
• Diagnosing machining issues and implementing corrective actions to stabilize processes.
• Coaching CNC Operators and Assistants to elevate team capability.
• Documenting production activities and inspection results with accuracy.

Must-have qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience.
• Proficiency in G-code programming.
• Consistent ability to achieve ±0.001" tolerances.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in Manufacturing Technology.
• CAM proficiency (Mastercam, Fusion 360).
• Background machining drill rods or downhole tools.

Work conditions

• Extended periods of standing; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Exposure to cutting fluids, airborne metal particulates, and machine noise.
• PPE required at all times.
