Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from accredited schools approved by the APTA
• Active State License is Required to Start the Assignment
• BLS Certification May Be Required from AHA or ARC
• Experience treating patients across outpatient, skilled nursing, and acute or swing bed settings
• Must be comfortable working in a rural setting and driving in snow

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5x8s
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Patient population includes a mix of skilled nursing, acute or swing bed, and outpatient, with 75% in outpatient
• 1:1 patient care
• EMR: Epic

Location Highlights

Newberry, Michigan offers access to Tahquamenon Falls State Park, which is about 35 miles east, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, which is roughly 75 miles northwest. The area is known for outdoor recreation with snowmobiling trails across the eastern Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior shoreline access within about 90 minutes. Newberry also sits near the Seney National Wildlife Refuge, approximately 20 miles south, which provides birding, paddling, and scenic driving routes in a quiet rural setting. For daily needs and regional travel, the community is positioned along M-28 and is about 100 miles from Marquette, offering additional shopping, dining, and airport access.
