Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany one student during van rides to and from school, providing skilled nursing care as needed
• Administer and monitor rescue medications per medical orders
• Perform G-tube maintenance and feeding as required
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip safety checks related to the student’s care needs
• Maintain clear, timely communication with school staff and parents regarding student health status
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and confidentiality standards in all interactions

Qualifications and Skills:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts is required
• Experience in legal nursing, school nursing, or as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is highly valued
• Previous experience providing specialized nursing care to pediatric or school-aged patients preferred
• Demonstrated skill in medication administration (including rescue medications) and G-tube management
• Compassionate and attentive to the needs of medically fragile students
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, families, and transportation staff

Position Details:

• Contract role; approximately 20 hours per week
• Shifts consist of morning and afternoon van rides, 45 minutes each way
