Registered Nurse School Setting in Hugo, MN

A rewarding contract opportunity awaits a Licensed School Nurse seeking to make a meaningful impact in an educational environment. Support student wellness and contribute to a safe, healthy school experience for children and staff from mid-November through mid-March. Bring your expertise in school nursing to provide care, education, and promote health on campus for approximately 32 hours per week.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current RN licensure with qualifications as a Licensed School Nurse
• Previous experience as a School Nurse or in pediatric/community health settings is highly valued
• Thorough understanding of school nursing practices, regulations, and emergency protocols
• Strong assessment, communication, and record-keeping abilities
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary educational team
• CPR certification and updated immunizations are required

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional nursing care, addressing the daily health needs of students and staff
• Administer medications and first aid as needed, maintaining accurate documentation
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special medical needs
• Participate in health education initiatives and wellness programs within the school
• Serve as a vital resource and advocate for students’ physical and emotional well-being
• Adhere to state and federal guidelines relevant to school health services
