Special Education Teacher | Enosburg Falls, Vermont

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid state credential or certification in Special Education (or eligibility for certification)
• Experience working with diverse learners and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication abilities to collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers
• Flexibility, patience, and creativity in lesson planning and classroom management
• Skills in adapting curriculum and employing a variety of instructional strategies
• Commitment to promoting student growth, independence, and self-advocacy

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student's unique strengths and needs
• Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social skills
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional approaches as necessary
• Partner with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusion and differentiation
• Communicate regularly with families regarding goals, progress, and strategies for support
• Document student performance, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
• Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and district guidelines related to special education
