Retail Staff Pharmacist in Diboll, TX

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Retail Pharmacist position is available to cover a maternity leave from December 2026 through February 2027 in Diboll, TX. This contract role offers flexibility in scheduling to accommodate your preferred shift or work hours within the store's operating times.

Schedule/Hours:

• Store hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Shift options:
  • 1st Shift: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (flexible to end earlier, e.g., 4:30 or 4:00 PM)
  • 2nd Shift: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible to end earlier, e.g., 5:30 or 5:00 PM)

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to core values while providing exceptional customer service aligned with established processes
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA
• Perform final verification of prescriptions issued by authorized prescribers
• Provide expert information on drug interactions, side effects, dosages, and storage to patients and healthcare professionals
• Maintain quality assurance procedures, control of controlled substances, and proper disposal of hazardous waste drugs
• Respond to pharmacist-required phone calls and manage voicemail messages and prescriptions
• Conduct patient counseling as needed or requested
• Manage customer conflicts professionally both in person and over the phone
• Note: This location does not offer vaccinations or Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services

Qualifications:

• Active, clear Texas pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent pharmacy experience in a retail setting
